2Pb(NO3)2 (solid) ----heat---> 2PbO (solid) + 4NO2 (gas) + O2 (gas)
when lead nitrate is heated it forms lea oxide (solid) and nitrogen dioxide (gas) and oxygen (gas)
- 31
when lead nitrate is heated the reaction is as follows
2Pb(NO3)2 (s) + heat -------> 2PbO (s) + 4NO2 (g) + O2 (g)
here Pb(NO3)2 is lead nitrate.
PbO is lead oxide
NO2 is nitrogen dioxide
and this is a decomposition reaction as lead nitrate splits up ito three elements when heat is supplied.
