What will the density of the stone be if the weight of the stone is 15 gramsand is put in a 4ml of water. After putting the stone the water level increased to 7ml.

Given,
    Mass of the stone =  15 g = 0.015 kg
    Weight of the stone in air = 0.015 kg x 9.8 kgm/s2
                                              = 0.147 N
After putting the stone the water level increased to 7 ml which was initially 4 ml.
Since density of water = 1 g/ml,
    Mass of water displaced  = 3 g = 0.003 kg
Loss of weight of stone in water  = weight of water displaced
                                                      = 0.003 x 9.8 kgm/s2
                                                      = 0.0294 N
Therefore,
Weight of stone in water = Wt. of stone in air - loss of weight
                                            = 0.147 - 0.0294 = 0.1176 N
Hence,
Density of the stone  = Wt. of stone in air / (Wt. of stone in air - Wt. of stone in water)
                                      = 0.147 / (0.147-0.1176)
                                      = 5 g/cm3
