when momentum of a body is increased by100percent,its kinetic energy increased by what percent . please anser me with equation.

Hi Sachinraj!

The momentum and kinetic energy are related as KE = p2/2m, where, p is the momentum and m is the mass of the body.

Initial kinetic energy = p2/2m

Final KE = (2p)2/2m = 4 p2/2m

Change in KE = (4 p2/2m) – (p2/2m) =3 p2/2m

Percentage change in KE =3 p2/2m×100% = 300%

So, the kinetic energy will be increased by 300%

Cheers!!
