When the capacitor is connected in series LR circuit, the alternating current flowing in the circuit  increases. Explain why?

The total resistance decreases. I = (V/Z) if Z decreases, i increases.

Addition of C decreases impedance and this increase current. We know that I=V/Z And impedance Z=√R²+(XL - XC)²
