When we release our breath after holding it for some time, we have to breathe heavily. Why is it so?

This is because when we hold our breath our body cant get sufficient oxygen to carry out the process of respiration, so when we start breathing after holding it, we breathe heavily to fulfil the oxygen scarcity in the body.....

Thank you.

After holding our breath our body needs more supply of energy(oxygen), so we need to breathe heavily to fulfil its requirement.

When we hold our breath for a long then we need to breath heavily because our respiratory system needs to get back to the breathing process
