which is more reactive ? calcium or magnesium ?

Calcium is more reactive than magnesium because it is larger than a magnesium atom because it has one more energy level. Valence electrons are on the outermost occupied energy level in the atom and they cause the atom to react, and thus the further the Valence electrons are from the nucleus in an atom, the more reactive is the element. Therefore, calcium is more reactive than magnesium because the valence electrons on the calcium atom is farther from the nucleus. In other words, calcium is more electropositive than magnesium.

yes dude calcium is more reactive but i don't get the explanation
we knw that the most reactive is k than ca  than as you said that the larger atom will pose more reactivity than there are many atoms greater than potassium than why don't they have greater reactivity this is why i think ur reasoning is wrong

CALCIUM IS MORE REACTIVE BECAUSE ELECTROPOSTIVITY INCREASES AS WE GO DOWN A GROUP.

calaium is more reactive than magnesium as electronegitivity increases as we move down the group
