The method is Vaccum Distilation :
In this,distillation is carried out at a lower temperature at which compound do not decompose.
Compound can be made to boil at a lower temperature than its normal boiling point
under the condition of reduced pressure.That is why this method is employed because
some compounds decompose when heated to their boiling point,therefore compounds
will not be purified using simpple distillation process.
The pressure inside the apparatus is reduced by a filter pump or vaccum pump and is recorded
by inserting a manometer.A special type of flask that is double necked flask is used so that
there is no superheating or bumping.
