Which of the following is/are correct?
  1. CaSO4 + 2NaCl ----- Na2SO4 + CaCl2
  2. Na2SO4 + CaCl2 ------ CaSO4 + 2NaCl

Please give an appropriate reason also.

Both the reactions are correct. Because the given reactions are double displacement reaction. In double displacement reaction the cationic and anionic part get exchanged between the two reactants.

I think b is correct as it is Sodium which displaces Calcium.. as it is higher in the reactivity series. Also such kinds of reactions are called double displacement reactions.
