Dear Student,
The best part about Republic Day was the celebration at my school. A special assembly was organised on this auspicious occasion, to mark the day India adopted its constitution. The whole stage was decorated with our tricolour flag and colourful buntings. The students, in vibrant dresses and costumes, performed many cultural items based on the theme of patriotism and India's dedication to secularism. Being a member of the school choir, I too sang many songs filled with patriotic fervour. A special screening of Rang de Basanti was organised in the school auditorium for all the students. We were treated to traditional Indian sweets and snacks by the school authorities. The Art department pit up an exhibition of posters made by students on ' Unity in diversity'. I thoroughly understood how our country is unique in its oneness despite its cultural diversity. I had the best day ever!
