Who was ignesious? What happened to his family during the tsunami?

Ignesious was the manager of a cooperative society in Katchall. His family was affected by the tsunami. His wife was swept away by the rising tide of the sea. The tsunami happened, after the earthquake took place. Two of his children, and his wife's father and brother were swept away by the sea tides. Only he and three of his children who had held his hand managed to survive the tsunami.
