who was madame de tremonillac? what happened to her? :)

"Madame de Tremouillac" is one of the victims of the Ghost of Sir Simon. The Ghost had frightened Madame de Tremouillac by sitting on her armchair reading her diary. When she had woken up, she saw a skeleton reading her diary. Due to this vision, she was so frightened that she had an attack of brain-fever. He illness made her stay bed-ridden for six weeks. When she recovered, she immediately became a devout Christian and stopped communicating with Monsieur de Voltaire. Voltaire was a renowned skeptic who often voiced his opinions about religion. In the story  the Ghost reminisces the condition of Madame de Tremouillac as one of his brilliant successes in frightening people.
