a. In India, manuscripts have been an integral part of its culture and tradition
b.Manuscripts were written in vernacular languages written on handmade papers or palm leaves that helped in communicating ideas.   We may give example of  18th century 
Gita Govinda of Jayadeva.
c.  These manuscripts were often swen together to preserve them. 
d.  These manuscripts were expensive they often served as status symbol as only influential people could hire scribes to produce manuscripts and could own them
e.Scribes used to copy manuscripts and made changes thus, the same text became substantially different for historians to study.
f. Original manuscripts of the original author are rarely found today.
g. Historians are dependent on the copies made by scribes.
h. Original manuscripts were written by scholars in the king's court.
