why a magnet loses it's power

when heated,hammered thrown

from a building?

This is because all magnetic material (like iron) is made up of tiny little magnetic particles inside it. If all the particles are in a straight line, it becomes a complete magnet.

But, when you hammer it, the tiny particles change their direction and thus the object loses it's magnetism.
