Agriculture is important for any civilization to develop Depending
on hunting and gathering of food is not a stable form of
arrangement for food security At the time of drought , crises of
food , bad climatic conditions hunting becomes increasingly
difficult Agriculture also generates surplus which could be stored
for times of food scarcity Agriculture also allowed people to
settle down in permanent settlements and enlarge the size of their
family and settlements
