why an egg becomes solid from liquid by heating
Dear student,The egg becomes solid from liquid by heating due to the process called as denaturation of proteins. The proteins present in the yolk and the albumen of the egg are denatured due to heat. The proteins are made up of long chains of amino acids. These chains of amino acids are changed from their native state during the process of denaturation which finally changes the structure and properties of the protein. Thus, the proteins clump together to form the solid structure in the egg.Hence, the egg becomes solid when heated.Regards
