Why are drinks like Whisky and Rum more intoxicating than wine?

Dear student, Drinks like Whiskey and Rum are distilled alcohol whereas drinks like wine are undistilled alcohol. Distilled alcohol is obtained by the process of distillation and the alcoholic content of these beverages is increased by increasing the concentration of ethyl alcohol by distilling again the fermented product. Hence drinks like Whisky and Rum more intoxicating than wine which has lower alcoholic content. Thanks and regards
