why are the crops remain left by farmers on fields after harvesting the crop ? the animals that eat plants are responsible for soil erosion . why ?

Overgrazing, burrowing and the continuos movement of animals on the fields are the reasons of soil erosion. Some animals burrow into the soil and make holes and tunnels. Roots of the plants are capable of holding the soil particles together. Overgrazing and burrowing results in the loosening of soil and therefore can easily be washed away.
Certain animals such as cattle and sheep have heavy hooves and feet. With the continuos movement of these animals, the soil starts to loose and wear.
