why are these chemicals being changed into some other biomolecules?? can u plz explain wid examples ??

Dear student

Metabolism is a dynamic process, it involves a combination of anabolism (making) and catabolism (breaking).
It is not necessary that a biomolecule in its one form is always useful in that form only, so depending on the need of the body, biomolecules change from one form to another.
In a metabolic pathway called glycolysis, biomolecules constantly change from one form to another by the action of different agents(usually enzymes).
For example,
In the first step of glycolysis, glucose is changed into glucose-6-phosphate by the action of the Hexokinase enzyme. This is an anabolic step.
In the fourth step of glycolysis, Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate is changed into two molecules, namely glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate by the action of an enzyme called aldolase. This is a catabolic step.
