Why cell wall of collenchymas tissue are unevenly thickened

The collenchyma tissue provide the support and strength to the plant. For this purpose, it has thickening of the hemicellulose and pectin at the corner of the cell wall. While, inter cellular spaces makes it flexible to tolerate any mechanical stress. Both are independent events, for the same purpose.
It provides the supporting​ for soft plant organs . Support is really very much crucial for plants, in part because it helps them in growing upward to compete with other plants for availing sunlight in a plant in a congested area. Plants lack the bony skeletal system like other many animals, and instead individual cells, including collenchyma cells, support the plant body.
