When author returned from abroad grandmother was so happy seeing him after five long years and she started enjoying it by gathering the neighbourhood and thumping a dilipated drum by singing homecoming of warriors.then the next day she fell ill and doctor said it is a mild fever but grandmother felt her end was near and did not want to waste time talking to the author.then she died peacefully

Even though the doctors reassured the family and said that she was suffering from a mild fever and would recover soon, yet the author's grandmother said that her end was near. She stopped talking to anyone. She said that since only a few hours were left before her last breath she had omitted to pray and was not going to waste any more time talking to them. She lay peacefully in her bed and her lips moved in a silent prayer before the rosary fell off from her lifeless fingers.
