Author’s grandmother was never in favor of singing. She thought it did not suit the gentlefolks. However, later on her temper changed when her grandson returned from abroad. She was so elated on his return that she collected a group of ladies from the neighbourhood and sang with them, beating the drums loudly. She sang the home coming of warriors. It was a celebration of the home coming of her dear grandson. However, this incident turns out to be fatal for her as her health deteriorates after that, and it gradually leads to her death.
