Why did the young seagull feel terrified upon landing on the sea? What did he do to overcome this feeling?

Please answer the question in 30-40 words .
My question is from the book 'First Flight' and from Chapter 3 'Two Stories about Flying' .

Dear Student,

On landing on the sea, the seagull had the thought that he would not be able to fly. He was then supported by his family and their concentrated efforts.
