Why do birds , reptiles and some lower vertebrates have RBC with nucleus and not we human beins?

Birds, reptiles and some lower vertebrates either live in water or in air so their need to divide their red blood cells and for that they need nucleus as only nucleated cells can divide. We human beings do not have nucleus in our RBC’s because it allows more room for haemoglobin which helps to carry more oxygen.
