Why do cyclone always hit the land and why cyclone always come to the land
Dear Student,
Although cyclones develop in sea or other water bodies, but they often hit the land. This happens due to the prevailing wind, bringing the storm towards the land. The most convenient way for a cyclone to die out is to approach the land, where it is no more fed with the energy from the warm ocean waters. Therefore, most of the cyclones eventually hit land. The burst of energy in a really short period of time causes the sea to swell (large waves caused by storm's wind). The sea swell can be as large as 33ft and travel at speed of thousands kilometre per hour causing massive damage and flooding in the coastal region.
