why do deep sea divers carry oxygen cylinders with them?

Human beings are adapted for terrestrial habitat and hence their respiratory system can utilize oxygen only in gaseous state, in aquatic habitat, organisms utilise oxygen which is dissolved in water. As humans cannot utilize dissolved oxygen deep sea divers have to carry oxygen cylinders.

Dear Bravya,

because the divers cannot breath inside the water as there is no oxygen inside the water .

There is no oxygen inside the water beacause there is no space inside the water for oxygen to stay...

the cylinders that are carried by the divers contain oxygen that is sufficient for a long time and they breath the oxygen which is stored inside. I think your doubt has been cleared

Deep sea divers carry oxygen cylinders with them because water has dissolved oxygen in it but as we have lungs we can't breathe under water.Water animals and plants have special organs called gills which can absorb the dissolved oxygen in water.

As we go deep down in water....the oxygen level starts decreasing.....divers usually dive in deep oceans and seas.....so to avoid suffocation due to shortage of oxygen in water....divers carry oxygen cylinders with them in water......which provides them oxygen.

oxygen is dissolved in water and human lungs cannot take oxygen dissolved in water. so deep sea divers carry oxygen cylinder with them so they can breath properly.

Oxygen which is dissolved in water cannot be taken by humans so divers carry oxygen cylinders with them which helps them to breathe under water.
