why do rural/poor families prefer boys getting and completing education than girls?

most of the rural families have old believs.....in olden time women were only responsible for whole household work and other activities like reading in gurukula and earning money was done by male member of the family..wwith the passage of time the condition has changed. now both girl and boys are equal but in rural areas as per the old tradition the girl learnt all the house hold work and boy child go to school................

hope it is clear to you now akshita...

very easy one..

rural families are poor..  they think that education for girls are not neccesary as one day a girl has to go to another house so what is the need of education. but in boys they think that they will bring money.. so they consider education for boys neccesary..........

Hope it helps...
