Why do small desert animals like scorpionsescapefrom the heat of the desert?

The deserts are very hot and receive very little rainfall in a year. The small desert animals like scorpions cannot bear this heat, so they escape from it.

To escape from the heat , these animals live in burrows during the day and come on the surface only during the night when it gets colder.
