why do so many families of farmers cultivate such small plots of land?
There are many reasons why do families of farmer cultivate small plots of land. Few of them are-
1. The income of a farmer is very less and might not have enough capital (money) to but another plot and buying different fertilisers and seeds would result in a loss.
2. There would be a huge loss if the climatic conditions aren't suitable if they have 2 plots or more.
3. If the plot loses its fertility, the farmer cannot grow any crops neither can he sell it and therefore results in a loss.
