Why do we cook food?

Dear Student,

Following are some advantages of the cooked food-

1. Cooking denatures proteins and breaks down starchy plants (tubers) into simpler forms (sugars).  In this way, cooking improves our ability to digest and receive nutrients from the food we consume.
2. The lethal bacteria and other organisms that may cause infection and harm the body are killed by cooking food at higher temperatures.
3. Cooked food is tastier than raw food.

OUR BODY NEEDS FOOD TO EAT , TO WORK , TO DO EVERY THING WE WANT FOOD BECAUSE FOOD GIVES US ENERGY

we cook food to make it tasty and easier to digest . But while cooking some nutrients such as vitamin C  get destroyed. That is why we eat some fruits and vegetable without cooking. Vote if you find my answer helpful.

Because without cooking food may cause illness because food may contain some dirty particles which are not Good for our health that's why we cook food.

@Arush : We need to cook food because all the GERMS and DIRT will be removed and the TASTE also will be enhanced.
