Why do we feel uneasy when ferry wheels moves downwards?

As your seat is rotating on the “down” side of the Ferris wheel, you might feel slightly lighter in your seat due to the inertia of your body vs the seat travelling downward, but a Ferris wheel does not rotate fast enough to experience free fall.
