why do we see a huge variation in the climate, economic activities, flora and fauna, transport system in the different parts of the ganga brahmaputra basin? explain briefly with help of examples.

Hi,

The climate in the Ganga-Brahmaputra basin shows huge variations. While, Tibet has very cold  and dry cimate , Assam has humid and hot climate. Accordingly changes the flora fauna and transport patterns. Thus while in Tibet we have grasses and shrubs that are mostly drought resistant, in Assam on the other hand forests are normal (due to availability of rain). While Assam is known for rhinoceros, Tibet has panda, yak, musk deer. However, for the regions, Brahmaputra is an important means of inland travel.
