Why do we use sulphuric acid for the electrolysis of water and not any other acid like nitric acid or sulphuric acid?

Dear student!

Alone water molecule (pure) is a bad conductor of electricity and so it could not be electrolyzed and so the sulphuric acid is mixed which produces H+ ion when mixed in water an so it increases the charge and so the conductance of the water increases which make the reaction faster.

H2SO4 is used cause it increases the conductivity of water, (i think you need to check your chemistry textbook)
