Why does Antony says that women will smile when they see their infants die... In Julius Caesar?

Antony makes this prediction as he wants to show that Julius Caesar's death was a very big crime the conspirators committed. He instigates the mob and says that people will be so merciless and have no feelings at all, that mothers will smile to see their babies die. He made this prediction that there will be war all over Italy, and these kind of deeds will become so familiar. Everyone would be heartless, and dreadful.
