why dont we get a spectrum through a rectangular glass slab even on passing white light through it??

i am thinking that ur question is wrong bcoz only through prism u can get spectrum colours. check out ur question plz!

A glass slab acts like a combination of 2 prisms kept in a way as shown in the figure,


We can see a single light of beam as the output.

Because when a light passes through the prism 1 it decomposes the light into its constituent colors and when the constituent colors passes through the prism 2 the colors are recombined and form a single beam of white light!
