why in some questions, we use the concept that limiting friction = the appilied force on a body..

hows its possible ??...please xplain.

Limiting Frictional Force is defined as the minimum force required by a body to just start moving. So, for us to move a body we need to at least supply an external force equal to limiting force.

So, in many numerical we use

external force = limiting force
