Why internal sources og recruitment are better than external?

Internal sources of recruitment refers to hiring of people from within the organisation . The following are the reasons why internal recruitment is better:
a) Its economical as no extra expense is to be borne by the company which would be incurred had they gone through external recruitment'
b) The candidates are well-known of what skills & capabilities they possess and thus the company have true picture of available talents;
c) It provides a boost of growth & sense of motivation to the existing talents;
d) Its time saving as well
