Why is 5th January 2005 signifant in Tutankhamen saga ?

On January 5, 2005, the famous mummy of King Tutankheman had undergone a CT scan. This event was considered to be significant as King Tut's mummy was the first of all the mummies in Egypt to undergo a CT scan. Such a modern operation on such an ancient and so-called cursed mummy led to a rise of rumours and superstitions. The CT scan was a way to fight back and make people understand the non-existent and unreal nature of ancient curses.
