Why is ambulance is written as ecnalubma?

As we know that a mirror shoes a laterally inverted image.So, if the driver sees the virtual image of an already laterally inverted image, then it will interchange the position of the left and right.

Thus the word Ambulance is written laterally inverted, like ECNALUBMA, so that the traffic ahead would see in the word clearly and would identify the ambulance and give way to the car.

When the driver of a vehicle ahead of an ambulance looks in her / his rear view mirror, she / he can read 'AMBULANCE' written on it and give way to it. That is why it is written like that.

 because when adriver views the ambulance from his mirror it appears as right to left. eg bannana-anannab.tto make the driver understand it they write it right-left ie ecnalubma soit appears ambulance in the mirror

Ambulance is written ecnalubma. As you know ambulance is taking serious patients so while driving on the road when we can see through our concave mirror and see as AMBULANCE. This is why ambulance is written ecnalubma.

I agree with Koulick and this property of mirrors is called Lateral inversion. Due to this property we see an inverted image of the object, this is the reason why AMBULANCE is written as ECNALUBMA.:)

AMBULANCE is written as ECNALUBMA  because on the driver's side mirror it looks AMBULANCE and thus the other vehicles gives side to the amblance... this is all through concave mirror... driver's side mirror is concave mirror...
