Why is blood called liquid connective tissue ?

Blood is known as a connective tissue because it connects various body tissues and organs together by bringing the oxygen, hormones and various nutrients. Also, all the connective tissue originate from the mesodermal layer of the embryo and as blood also originate from the same, thus it is considered as the connective tissue.

Embryologically, blood has the same origin as the other connective tissue types have and blood connects the body systems together bringing the needed oxygen, nutrients, hormones and removing the wastes.Due to these reason blood is characterised as connective tissue.

blood is a liquid which contain about 95% water in it and also has blood ceels and plasma .  it is one of the most important part of human transport system.   it connect all the part of body from brain to leg with the help of capillaries  ,vein and arteries.   all these are interconnected and responsible for transporting the materials or gasesetc.
