Why is SiO not stable like CO?

SiO doesn't exist as such in nature. It is the silicon dioxide (SiO2) which exist.

But silicon dioxide is very stable due to having covalent three dimensional network.

Si − O bond has very high enthalpy. Hence, silica in normal form is almost non-reactive.

But CO is more reactive as compared to SiO2
