Why is soil regarded as a non renewable source when it is continuously made by weathering?

Despite the fact that soil can be formed by weathering it is considered a non-renewable resource because the process of formation of soil is a very slow process. It takes millions of years to be formed so it is considered a non-renewable resource because it cannot be replenished as soon as it being exploited and polluted or degraded.
