Why is the earth round in shape?

Earth or any other planet is round in shape due to gravity. ​​​​​​ Earth's gravity pulls equally from all sides. Gravity pulls from the centre to the edges like spokes of a bicycle wheel. This makes the overall shape of the planet a sphere or round. Sphere is a three-dimensional image of circle.
