why is the tropic of cancer called the tropic of cancer ? i mean
, cannot we call it tropic of some other zodiac sign like lio or
gemini and why is tropic of capricorn called the tropic of
capricorn ? also , why is tthe area between the two ie - (tropic of
cancer and tropic of capricorn ) called tropical ?

It is called the Tropic of
Cancer because, at the time that it was named, the Sun was
in the direction of the Cancer constellation during the June
solstice
The Tropic of Capricorn was named so because the sun was in the
constellation Capricorn during the December solstice
The area bounded by the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn
is known as the tropics because it does not experience seasons and
the climate is hot through out the year
