why kreb cycle is called as TCA ?

am not sure...maybe because it involves citric acid and when we see its structure which have three carboxylic acid group..so dat gives d name TRICARBOXYLIC ACID cycle...also it is called citric acid cycle..so i think my reasoning is valid.

Because the first stable product is a 3-Carbon compound- Citric Acid. That's why keeping 3 carbons in view it is known as TCA. You are right Pranjal.
