Why MGNREGA is known as right to work

NREGA i.e. National Rural Employment Guarantee Act later renamed as MGNREGA i.e. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act is the act which is referred to as 'Right to Work'.It provides at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in each financial year to every house where adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work. It provides social security to certain class of rural people and give them opportunities to earn some money.It is administered by gram Panchayats.No middlemen is involved in this.
