a. Growth and development of Indian agriculture is dependent on the amount and distribution of monsoon rainfall. It accounts for overall progress in the country.

b.It influences the cropping pattern of the country.  It is associated with fertility, with productivity.Farmers rely on monsoons for the sustenance of their crops.
c. Monsoon rains are very important as they account for large amount of our water supply. It accounts for one of our basic needs.

e. Monsoon also has great cultural significance in our country and acts as a unifying bond.
f. Several festivals are celebrated welcoming the monsoonal rainfall in India.
There is a close association between the festivals and seasons. One may give example of teej festival in the rainy season, Baisakhi with harvesting season.
g. Monsoon gives relief from the scorching heat. The entire life of the Indian people revolves around the monsoon.

You may also give example of dances like Bhatanatyam performed in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Kathakali performed in Kerela, Bihu dance of Assam, Manipuri dance of the state of Manipuri, Jighia of Bihar.
