why natural fibres wrinkle easily

Natural fibres are fibres that are obtained from animals or plants. The tendency to gain wrinkle in any fibre depends on its elasticity
.If a fibre has good elasticity then it has good wrinkle recovery, as it can spring back easily.
Some natural fibres like cotton, linen are poor in elasticity or they are inelastic at all . The poor elasticity of these fibres prevents them from returning to their original position and thus they have greater tendency to gain wrinkles.
Wool, although a natural fibre but has greater elasticity as compared to cotton or linen and so it has good wrinkle recovery.
