will a translucent object cast a shadow????????????????

a translucent object can be considered as a combination of both transparent and opaque objects.

so it allows and light and obstructs light also.

so, when light falls over it , some light passes through it, and some light will be obstructed which will cast a very dim or very light black colour shadow.

it wont be a perfect shadow.

hope it helps!!

thumbs up plzz..

The shadow is not a solid 'black' colour. It can be the same colour as the object and the shadow allows you to see through it more than an opaque objects shadow. An opaque object would block the light but a translucent object would give a shadow that you could quite easily see through

no the translucent object cannot cast shadow because it allow some light to pass through it

if you are looking for a object that cast shadow it is opaque object because it does not allow light to pass through it.
