Ans: Woman education plays a very crucial role in the overall development of a country. Due to gender discrimination in our country, education of the girl-child is still lagging behind. From the above table, one could conclude that provisions for the education of the girl-child in Bilaspur changed but little over the period of 15 years.

During the year 1995, there were only 10 schools for the girls which rose to 15 in the year 2010. The number of the students studying in these schools rose to 16000 as against 10,000 students in the year 1995. Over the period of 15 years, girl's school increased by only 5 in number. Also, the number of women colleges in the year 1995 were 3 which rose to 4 in the year 2010 with 10,000 students studying in it.

The total literacy rate has increased by 25% from just 30% in the year 1995 to 55% in the year 2010. As per the data, there are only three distance learning centres in Bilaspur.
