| Monday 1 November 20xx 9 PM Dear Diary, Today, I had a very interesting experience. As part of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, our class visited a remote village in the heart of Uttar Pradesh today. We were shocked to find that the village had no electricity. as a result, there were no televisions, fridges or electronic gadgets. There was also no plumbing, people defecated in the open. The villagers were not connected to people in the outside world, there was no network coverage too. My classmates and I first cleaned the heaps of garbage close to the residential area, then we educated the villagers on the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. We too got the unique experience of spending a day in direct touch with nature. Instead of watching television or playing computer games, we ran about in the green fields and plucked ripe fruit from the trees. I hope that our school will organise many such trips to make us help solve the problems faced by people in remote villages ABC |
